White Horse Inn: Conversational Theology

The Lord’s Supper

In the Gospel of Luke chapter 22 Jesus celebrated the Passover with his disciples. Instead of the usual Jewish traditions associated with the Passover, Jesus did something new. In 1 Corinthians 11 the Apostle Paul tells us that Jesus offered his own body and blood. To eat and drink is to participate in the body and blood of Jesus Christ. There the apostle Paul says, “For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.” On this episode of White Horse Inn our hosts Michael Horton, Rod Rosenbladt, and Kim Riddlebarger explain the meaning of the Lord’s Supper.
