Join the Campaign for Core Christianity
– Atheists, agnostics, Jews, and Mormons score higher in religious knowledge and outperform Protestants on questions about the core teachings and history of Christianity.
– Those identifying themselves as “Christian” shrunk from 78% to 70%—a drop of eight percentage points in just seven years. Meanwhile, those calling themselves atheist, non-religious, or simply unaffiliated rose from 16% to almost 23%.
– Almost 60% of our youth leave their churches as young adults, many joining the growing numbers of the so-called “nones,” those who profess no adherence to any faith whatsoever.
Despite this bad news, the core message of Christianity is still capable of renewing the church, even in our own age. That’s why we’ve launched corechristianity.com, a media-based initiative that challenges the growing influence of “Christless Christianity.”More Information
