There is a lot of confusion today about the nature of the Christian gospel. On this program, we will walk through the definition of the gospel given by the Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 15. How early is this particular text in relation to other New Testament documents? What are the implications of Paul's claims for our understanding of early Christianity? In this very early text, Paul defines the gospel as the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus, declared in advance by the prophets and proclaimed by the apostles and eyewitnesses afterwards. If this particular event did not occur in history, Paul argues, then our faith is in vain.
