How are we to understand forgiveness? Does God forgive us only on the condition that we forgive others? What does Jesus mean when he calls us to "Seek first the Kingdom of God"? On this special edition of White Horse Inn recorded before a live audience in Miami, Florida, the hosts will discuss these questions and more as they interact with Matthew 6:14-35 in their continuing series through the Sermon on the Mount.

Thank you, Ken Jones, for breaking down the Scriptures as you do...putting them in clear perspective. Thanks for continuing to remind us to put everything in the perspective of what we already are in Christ, with his righteousness imputed to us, and to see the imperatives of Scripture in light of that gospel truth.

I'm a new subscriber to Modern Reformation, and a layperson with a question that I need clarity on. In the book Visionary Parenting, author Rob Rienow uses Exodus 20:3-6 as an exhortation and encouragement to parents to take seriously the charge to disciple their children in the faith: 3 “You shall have no other gods before[a] me. 4 “You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. 5 You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, 6 but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments." Are these promises for those of us under the new convenant, and if not, is there any legitimate application to the same? What is the correct application of Deuteronomy 6 to followers of Christ? If you need to edit my question (ie: take out the name and author mentioned above), please do so -- I put it there for context. Thanks for your help in this.
