We are introducing a new category here on our blog dedicated to Dr. Rosenbladt called "Dad Rod Thursdays." As we are able, we will be featuring the works of Dr. Rosenbladt with some review and analysis, along with information about where you can access them. So without delay, here goes our first one!

Recently I had the chance to hear Dr. Rosenbladt give his lecture entitled The Gospel For Those Broken By The Church to a packed house. As I and my business partner, Patrick Kyle, sat and watched the impact of Dr. Rosenbladt's words on the audience, I knew it was past time to give it away for free. Dr. Rosenbladt agreed, and so did the good folks at South Orange County Outreach (SOCO), who funded and recorded the presentation. So we are giving it away.

This lecture is a true tour de force--Dr. Rosenbladt at his finest. It may very well be that he will be known and remembered by many primarily for this seminal work. It was one of the reasons we created New Reformation Press, and it has been influential in the lives and ministries of many people. It has given hope to hundreds of bruised reeds and smoldering wicks barely clinging to faith in churches that have lost their way and lost sight of Christ. Others abandoned church long ago and considered themselves failed Christians. This is another word for them, not of cursing but of blessing.

This lecture was one of the main reasons our friend the InternetMonk, the late Michael Spencer, wanted us to put an ad for New Reformation Press on his blog, and he recommended it to his readers a number of times. The presentation speaks to many who find themselves in what Michael called the "Post Evangelical Wilderness."

As we sat in the audience at the recent re-presentation of "The Gospel For Those Broken By The Church", we watched as Dr. Rosenbladt read his script with tears in his eyes. Members of the audience openly wept.

If you will stop by and listen to the free MP3 or read the free PDF, I'm certain you will quickly understand why we think this lecture is so important.

I know this presentation will be of immense help to many, and I humbly ask your help in getting it out to those who need to hear it. Feel free to download, make copies and share them with others in their entirety, quote at length, link to, or print and hand it out. Additionally, in the not-too-distant future I will provide a link to a video version filmed in front of a live audience, including a question and answer session, which will be provided by Faith Lutheran Church in Capistrano Beach, California.

I wanted to read this lecture long before I knew it existed. I'm thrilled to be able to share it now with my fellow passengers in the mad alumni boat.

If there's a followup lecture on how to stop being bitter and angry about it, someone link me to it? I feel like a need a cage-phase recovery manual.

I had a serious crisis of faith which was leading me down a dark path of depression. When I heard Dr. Rosenbladt's message, I could not believe what I was hearing. I had never heard that what Christ did was outside of me and not in me. I wept for joy and then listened to it over and over making sure that I really was hearing what I was hearing.

I want to thank the White Horse Inn for wonderful programming week after week exposing our sin and then giving us the gospel.

My world has been transformed and is being transformed not because of Christ in me, but because of his work on the cross outside of me. Wow, now THAT is good news.

Thank you and please keep pounding this in our thick skulls week after week.

I so wholeheartedly agree!!!! Dr Rod has blessed me with this message which I purchased many many months ago and it is still a great favorite. He can preach grace unlike any other. I listen to anything I can get my hands on of his. The messages he gave on fathers at a conference are wonderful. Thanks, Ted, for setting up this new category. I will be watching for it.

One of the best "sermons" ever! There are far too many churches, and I am not just talking about televangelists, who blather on about sin and salvation sprouting from, e.g., not drinking, swearing, watching R movies, etc. We have ONE salvation from sin, and it is Christ Jesus' sacrifice on the cross..NOTHING else!! A lost of well-meaning Christians tell weak or uninformed Christians how to be "better" and more "holy" by works, though they would never call it that, instead of trusting FULLY in Christ's work. Christ's sacrifice is fully sufficient without a TRACE of our assistance. Never forget that!

As an ex charismatic with all the internal junk that goes with and a broken man with a broken life i want to thank Rod from the bottom of my sinful heart for this message of hope, grace and the assurance in Christ outside of us. I was catapulted from despair, depression and hell conscious to the bliss of truth ans freedom in Christ. Im back at church after 10 years at least in the wilderness and now consider myself Lutheran. Cant find a Lutheran church but listen to issuesetc, whitehorse inn, pirate christian radio,, oh what a God He is!! Keep up the good work. Love from Dundee Scotland UK
