Each year at Christmas in countless churches throughout the world, Christians focus with renewed attention on the birth of the Messiah. But what was the mission of this Messiah, and where can this story be found in the Old Testament? On this program, the hosts wrap up their discussion of Christ’s redemptive mission to seek and save the lost as it is unpacked throughout the Old Testament. And on this episode in particular, they walk through messianic prophecies from the Pentateuch through the writings of the prophets.

Where can I find the sermon series on Leviticus that Dr. Horton mentions in this episode?
Thank you,
Matthew Linder

I was thinking that too Matthew! We might not otherwise hear such teaching. Please share!
Thanks so much for your work! Looking forward to 2012!

I would like to thank the WHI team for this incredible episode. It was refreshing for my soul to hear the good news of the promised redeemer proclaimed from the Old Testament, with clear distinctions between law and gospel.
Thank you for your work, I cannot wait to be able to support you again. May our Lord bless you abundantly with grace and peace that only He can bring.

Thank you guys for the great series, I think this may have been my favorite ever, aside from Romans Revolution! I am more confident now opening up the Old Testament understanding the metanarrative of Scripture.
I was also wondering, along with Matthew and Deb, how I can get a hold of the Leviticus sermons that Dr. Horton mentioned in the episode?
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Best wishes in the New Year!

I hate to bring another podcast on the White Horse Inn page (in my defense Dr. Horton did recently appear on the podcast) but “Reformed Forum” has an episode called “Christ in Leviticus” with Douglas Clawson and maybe that is who Dr. Horton was referring to?
