Getting the gospel out is what the church is called to do in The Great Commission. But how do individual Christians share the gospel with unbelievers be they Muslims or even “Christians” who don’t actually believe? Dr. Horton was asked to address this question in our next Christianity.com video.

Dr. Horton,
I was just wondering if you have an essay or a resource that you are thinking of when you talk about the weak historicity related to the prophet Muhammad. I’m just curious what facets of his life or background you are referring to as being fictitious or exaggerated.

Dr. Horton. So true, as this method is good when attempting to share the Gospel. We need to apply patient Apologetics (defense of the faith, a la I Peter 3.15 and other passages), engaging the unbelievers into dialog, not just asserting, immediately, and not thinking that our disarming our unbelieving friends of their arguments against Christianity is what saves them. The Holy Spirit, though, has given us this privilege to hold such eternal truths in these decaying bodies (“jars of clay”). Muslims and unbelievers, in general, need to know that we are willing to hear their aspects,while we, with reverence (respect for God and man) and awe for God, give them ” a reason for the hope that is in” us. Our Muslim friends and neigbors are equally needful of the love of Christ and the results of what Christ, only, has accomplished on the Cross (the Gospel: the Indicative, imcomparable).
