WHI-1059 | The Road to Emmaus
What is the Bible principally about? Some say it’s about life transformation, while others say it’s a recipe book for achieving health, wealth, and prosperity. But what if you had the chance to listen to Jesus himself explain the basic message of Scripture? Interestingly enough, this is exactly what we find in Luke chapter 24 as Jesus walks with his disciples on the road to Emmaus. On this edition of the White Horse Inn, the hosts walk through this fascinating chapter and discuss its implications for our understanding of Scripture.

Thank you, gentlemen . Such a good reminder that the Bible points to Christ and Him crucified, that we’re not “off” to hope and pray that our pastors would seek to proclaim Him from the pulpit. The Emmaus passage is riveting, one’s blinders seem always to fall away in hearing “and their eyes were opened, and they recognized Him.” May our pastors be faithful in the proclamation of Christ from the Scriptures and in the administration of the “breaking of the bread”. And may the rest of us be faithful in hearing and partaking that we may receive our Savior as He has promised to give Himself to us. What shall we render unto Him for all His benefits toward us?
May God continue to bless your work.
