The June 6, 2010, broadcast of White Horse Inn was a very special episode as it was the ONE THOUSANDTH episode of the show to air! From its humble beginnings as a live call-in show on KKLA in Los Angeles, CA, the show has developed into a nationally syndicated show on over 60 stations in the United States, Canada, and the Philippines (not to mention that our website gets hits from about 100 countries a month). The hosts are still going strong in their desire to help people “know what they believe and why they believe it.”
As a special treat for this occasion we are opening up the vault and taking you back to the very first episode that aired on September 16, 1990 (back then Kim actually had hair, Mike just finished puberty, but Rod was still “Dad Rod”).

Thanks for posting this. Listening now. I first heard of WHI after Ken Jones spoke at Ligonier 2002, and I started listening a few months later.

I first heard of the WHI from my pastor, Pete Williamson of Oikos Fellowship in Bellingham, WA. That was only about a year ago. I’ve been listening ever since, and WHI is what got me to order a subscription of Modern Reformation as well. The two complement each other amazingly. Thanks for being willing to share your wisdom with us, constantly reminding us of the gospel!

Wow. I heard about Mike Horton with the book “Agony of Deceit.” I worked for a Moody Bookstore in Charleston WV at the time.
Like Jim Crigler, I heard about The White Horse Inn from a Ligonier Conference near DC from Ken Jones.
I was working alone on an all night shift for a month and heard a lot of White Horse Inn while working. I started with “The White Horse Inn Goes to the Movies.”

I first heard about the WHI after being recommended “Putting Amazing Back Into Grace” and having read it wanted more.

I first heard of the White Horse Inn when I got a job at a print shop full of Presbyterians, while still myself an independent, fundamental Baptist. One of my bosses had an extensive library of WHI tapes, and he allowed me to listen on the job and we’d discuss the topics covered on the tapes. This experience was instrumental in reforming me over a period of about 3-5 years or so. Now, my former boss has digitized his collection and given me the tapes! One day I’ll digitize them, too.
Thanks for being there, White Horse Inn, the Lord used you to help change my life! And that’s no advertizing cliche!
