As a fairly new listener, I don’t know the history of the “Dad Rod” moniker, but every time I read or hear it, I think of Jan Crouch’s speaking of “Dad Hagen” as though he were the Pentecostal Pope.

ARRRGH! I grew up listening to the WHI and want this soooo unbelievably bad, but I’m a poor college student who can barely get by on rent and macaroni!!!! Curse you for taunting me with these clips!

Jim, that’s exactly the connotation! Rod got that name because of the TBN folks calling Kenneth Hagin, “dad.”
